Voice To Text for CRM (Android and iOS)

For WiredContact and Act!, you can follow these steps to leverage voice to text on your mobile device to enter your notes into the CRM.

📲 For Android Devices

Steps:

  1. Tap the text field in the CRM app where you want to type.

  2. The keyboard should appear automatically.

  3. Look for the microphone icon, usually in the bottom-left corner of the keyboard.

  4. Tap the microphone icon.

  5. Begin speaking. Your speech will appear as text.

  6. Tap the screen or keyboard again to stop voice input.

🔧 If You Don't See the Microphone:

  • Go to:
    Settings → System → Languages & Input → On-screen Keyboard → Gboard → Voice typing

  • Make sure Google Voice Typing is enabled.

  • Ensure microphone permissions are granted.

✅ Supported Devices:

  • Works on Android 2.2 (Froyo) and above (2010+).

  • Requires a supported keyboard (e.g., Gboard) and microphone access.



🍏 For iPhone (iOS) Devices

Steps:

  1. Tap the text field in the CRM app where you want to type.

  2. The iOS keyboard will appear.

  3. Tap the microphone icon in the bottom-right, next to the space bar.

  4. Speak your message clearly.

  5. Tap the keyboard icon (which replaces the mic) to stop dictation.

🔧 If You Don't See the Microphone:

  • Go to:
    Settings → General → Keyboard → Enable Dictation

  • Make sure Siri is turned ON.

  • Microphone permissions must be enabled.

✅ Supported Devices:

  • Works on iOS 5 and later (2011+).

  • Offline dictation is supported from iOS 13+ on iPhone XS, XR, SE 2nd gen and newer.
