How to Open and Update Your Google My Map with WiredContact

Purpose

This article explains how to access and update your organization’s shared Google My Map. The map is already created by MondoCRM and the client—you’ll open it and review or update data infrequently.

1) Log In to Your Google Account

  1. Open https://accounts.google.com.
  2. Sign in with the provided credentials:
    Email: example@gmail.com
    Password: ********
  3. If prompted, complete 2-Step Verification or any security checks.
  4. After login, open a new tab for your map link.

2) Open the Shared Map

  1. Click or paste your map URL:
  2. If multiple maps appear, select [Project Name] – Annual Map.
  3. The map opens in Google My Maps.

3) Review or Edit Map Data

View only: Click any pin or shape to see details.

Edit:

  1. Click Open in My Maps (upper-left, if you see a preview state).
  2. Use the pencil icon to edit titles, notes, or locations.
  3. If instructed, upload/replace the annual CSV file for the correct layer.

4) Save and Close

  • Auto-save: My Maps saves changes automatically.
  • Close the browser tab when finished.
  • If edits were made, notify your data coordinator to confirm the annual update is complete.

5) Annual Review Tips

  • Perform updates once per year after the latest data is confirmed.
  • Bookmark the map link for easy access next year.
  • Double-check you’re signed in with the correct Google Account before editing.
