How to Backup up an Act! Database and send it to MondoCRM

We recommend logging into the server where the database is hosted with the Windows Administrator credentials.  Then run the following steps:

Creating a backup
 
  1. Login to your database as an Administrator or a Manager level Act! User
  2. Click File > Back Up > Database…
  3. Click Browse…, then browse to the location you wish to save the backup to
  4. Give the file a new name (if desired), then click Save
  5. Decide whether or not you wish to include attachments by either leaving Include Attachments checked or by unchecking it.
    1. If you're sending this to MondoCRM for a conversion to Hubspot, Salesforce, etc.  you don't need to select the attachments.

      Note: For larger databases with attachments of large file sizes, creating a backup that includes attachments may take a long time to complete. If you are trying to create a backup of your database for the purpose of moving the database or in preparation for an upgrade, you might be able to save time by creating the backup without attachments, then manually backing up the attachments folder.   6. We don't recommend password protecting the file.  
  7. Click OK to begin backing up the following items into a .ZIP file:
    • The Database
    • Attached Documents (if included in step 5)
    • Layouts
    • Document Templates
    • Report Templates
    • Saved Queries

  8. Once the backup completes and the confirmation window appears, click OK to complete the backup process
